Our Mission
OpTek Partners was founded to solve a critical problem in heavy civil infrastructure: the gap between what firms need and what traditional recruiting can deliver.
Infrastructure projects succeed or fail based on the technical expertise and leadership of key personnel. A Senior Structures PM needs deep knowledge of bridge design, AASHTO standards, DOT relationships, and specialized software. Yet most recruiters can't distinguish between different types of engineering expertise—they're just matching keywords on resumes.
We built OpTek Partners differently from the ground up. Our team includes licensed PE professionals who conduct technical screenings because they've done the work themselves. We developed custom AI technology specifically for infrastructure market analysis and candidate identification. We focus exclusively on heavy civil because depth of expertise matters more than breadth.
Our approach combines cutting-edge technology with genuine technical credibility. AI identifies passive candidates on active projects who aren't on job boards. Now, Will designs and maintains OpTek's proprietary AI platform that scrapes public domain for strategic market intelligence to identify trends, competitor insights and granular candidate sourcing with input from customers and in-house engineering expertise.

Licensed Professional Engineer (Civil)
Mike is a licensed professional civil engineer with 10+ years of experience spanning large infrastructure project management, wetland restoration design, and hydrology/hydraulic engineering. He brings direct experience in federal hiring and contracting processes. He has led regional wetland design programs and served as committee chair for a wildlife conservation foundation, raising over $1 million during his tenure. His technical depth and hands-on project experience allow him to screen candidates for actual engineering competence.
